Tips & Advice
Cutting height
It is important not to cut more than a third of the height of the blades of grass at a time. Short grass is more sensitive to wear and dries out more easily, so the grass should not be cut shorter than 4 cm. Shorter than that is used for display lawns, but they require watering more often and it is best to avoid walking on them. A low cutting height also increases the wear on the cutting apparatus and the risk of damage from stones. It is also good to avoid cutting the grass when the weather is at its hottest and sunniest, since the lawn is sensitive then.
