Cut surface

It is important to have well-sharpened blades when mowing the lawn. If the cut is sharp there is less risk of the grass drying out or being attacked by disease. A ragged cut from blunt blades increases the risk of the grass dying, because diseases can attack it more easily, turning the lawn brown and allowing weeds to thrive. A good cut can be achieved with sharp blades.
